Default 2 OHM vs 4 OHM, Dual Amp.

I'm buying some subs for a custom enclosure I have for my car, the enclosure has 2 outputs on it (one for each sub). My old default Kicker Enclosure had the subs wired together and then would output into 1 line to one of my Amps. I think my old Kicker CVR12's were 2 OHM but like I said this is wired differently, since each sub will be wired to the Amp individually (If I can do that).

I have a ZX750.1 Amp

And a ZX350.4 Amp

As far as I know 2 OHM builds are better for a dual sub setup, and thats what I'm doing but I just want to be sure. I know 4 OHM is for single builds because they have higher impedance and its supposed to sound better right?

Any thoughts?

nope, you can run duals at 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 4... anything

Well then what would you suggest for this build then? What would be best?

lets see...

4 ohms: 375 watts x 1 chan.
2 ohms: 750 watts x 1 chan.

up to you depending on what you want to run

Well I guess I'd want it to be louder and hit harder than anything, so I'll go with the 2 OHM.

Thank you.

Wait I'm confused, does 2 OHM or 4 OHM matter how you wire it or how the sub is built?

According to this ad its 2 or 4.

If my enclosure has 2 outputs meaning I'll be wiring my speakers into the AMPs separately do I want a Quad coil or Dual coil? ;]

thats for a set, each speaker has 2 voice coils and you can order them in either 2 or 4 ohm loads

It all depends on what amp/subs you will be using and if you want to upgrade later. With that amplifier, you will either need two 4 ohm SVC (single voice coil) subs wired in parallel or two 2 ohm DVC (dual voice coil) subs wired in series at about 400 watts or so per subwoofer to maximize power and efficiency.

If you want to upgrade your amp (more power) down the road then I would suggest getting a 1000 watts or more and stable to 1 ohm mono. These types of amps are pretty inexpensive and plentiful. In that case you would have to get two DVC 4 ohm subs wired in parallel to get the most power out of the amp. This is a much better route to go as high powered amps at 2 ohms are expensive and tough to find.
