Default double din metra kit Q

Probably a stupid question but do most headunits come with a kit to mount them or does one need to be purchased such as a Meta 99-7402. Headunit is a DDX812, have not purchased yet however.

most if not all aftermarket headunits do not come with mounting kits

^^ The Meta 99-7402 is a good choice for mounting DD units and even stacked ISO mounting (single din over a shelf/compartment) for the DD slot in 350Z’s (2003 to 2005 models).

Here is a pic for a single-din mount:



You can mount and trim your DDX812 with the same Metra product.

my deck came with a mounting ring or plate, but its doesn't fit in the dash, so i needed a metra ki.
