Installation questions
Recently my pioneer avic D1 was stolen and I just got myself an avic z2 to replace it.
I’m planning on installing it this weekend and as I installed my d1 myself last time I know how to install everything however the problem this time is that when the last unit was stolen they managed to tear off the labels I had on all the wiring behind the dash.
So now I don’t know how to tell the wires apart.
Specifically I need to know:
1. I have 2 amps 1 to run the speakers and 1 to run the sub and as such I have 2 sets of RCA cables running to the stereo. How do I go about telling which RCA cables run to which amp? I have hidden the wires etc running into the back of the car and so I can’t follow them back there. Hoping there is an easy way to tell them apart.
2. I have my rear speakers running off of the head unit as opposed to the amp and so I have 2 sets of speaker wire running to the stereo as well. I know I can use a battery to tell which speaker is which however how do I identify the + and - sides of the speaker wire which is running to the speakers? Again I can’t follow the speaker wire back to the speakers...
I would appreciate any help you guys can provide
