Default HP/LP filter on the Amp or Head Unit

Hi Guys,

I've installed components and a 10 inch sub powered by an alpine PDX4.150 and controlled by a touch screen pioneer HU. The head unit has it's own high pass and low pass filters along with sub controls etc. Am I better to use the head unit filters or the dial type ones on the amp itself?

I'm using the controls on the headunit, I don't know that it matters, but I like being able to adjust it more easily, and my amps are harder to get to.

Doesn't that double the rolloff rate for your filters?

If you have a good headunit do it there. Better control than what amp will offer on it's *****/switches.
