Default Hearing a whining sound coming from the fuse block after system install

I just installed my new setup consisting of the following:

Head unit: Pioneer deh 9800bt
Speakers: Kicker KS 602
Speaker amp: Kicker ZX 350.4
Subwoofer: JL Audio 8W7
Subwoofer amp: JL Audio 250/1

Now whenever I turn the car on I hear a whining sound coming from the fuse block area in the engine bay next to the battery. The whining gets louder as the RPMs increase. Any clue as to what maybe causing it and how to get rid of it?

The whining is actually coming from the fuse block, and not your speakers?

If the fuseblock itself is whining, maybe its vibrating against something? That seems strange.

The sound is comming from the front right corner of the car. I suppose it could be that speaker. If this were the case what could be causing this?

That's a very typical issue with the pioneer H/U's. You may have to ground your RCA's.

You sir are the man

BTW, did you end up relocating the the ground in the cubby to the chasis? My ground is placed exactly how yours was to one of the roof screws inside the cubby.

The RCA thing solved all humming and whining issues so I left the amp ground in there and never got around to re-locating it. I'll probably get to that when I upgrade to a more powerful amp.

How do you like the 8" W7 ?

To answer your question, it is very loud. My ears still hurt from tuning the thing. I love the way that little sub hits.

I will adding the bass control to it soon so that I can regulate the sub without having to go into the radio menu. To be honest though, I think I should have gone with something less powerful *** I had have to keep it at a low setting to make it bearable to hear.
