Default who would be interested?

if i can mass produce a sub box like this one, who would be interested in it?

i'm sure i could get this done with 8 inch, 10 inch, 12 inch, and those who are daring....15 inch subs!

check out the sub box...and let me know who is interested.

imo a sub would do better in a more stealth place like under the struts in the trunk facing towards the front of the car.

not sure what the estimated cost will be. 2 12's will fit.

i will build one and see what the process is like and how much it is. obviously, the more made...the cheaper each one will be.

let me find out some prices and then i'll post up some numbers.

(Conceyted - you don't want subs facing the front for the most part....it will sound better facing the rear. also, you can put covers on the to make them hidden. i'm just saying these save more space....just my opinion).

they didn't fit? i think 12's would fit. those are 10's in the picture. 15's....probably not. i thought they might with some modifications to the box....who knows....they might. but, i think 12's would be the max.

What I dont understand is how he hit 141+ with the windows down. And with (2) RF Punch 10's. Are they the HE, HE2, HX2, or Power series?

A friend of mine has an S-10 extended with 16 10's, and he hits low 150's with the doors closed.

I just can't see 141 out of a car with the doors or windows open.

I really could care less but it just doesn't sound right.

I guess when you port that adds a few DB's.

Thoughts?

First you gotta realize that is believable because every 10 decibels means twice as loud. So your buddys was twice as loud as this guys.

Your forgetting something though, WINDOWS down,

NO WAY JOSE, period end of story, not possible with 2 10's, especially if they are not the Power series.

Nice install, but the DB quote is not true.

A friend of mine had 2 Cerwin Vega strokers 12" (56lbs each), he had two of them (1500 watts), ported and he hit 141.

Another friend of mine has (2) 12" Orion HCCA's again, 143.

Another, (2) Xtant 12's, again 141.

I just don't see its possible with the windows down thats all.

And oh BTW, all of these were with the windows down when metered.

ok, not be a pain...but i'm trying to judge if i'm going to make this sub box or not....bring the comments to his thread. but, to add in to your Db talk....well, i hung out with some guy at a stereo show 2 weekends ago...only had 2 13w7's in his car....hit 160+ Db. if you don't believe me....ask HEUGE...he was there with me.

but, bring all that to another thread. i gotta judge if this sub box should be made.

thanks.

13W7's that EXPLAINS that, okay no more posts on this subject, I'll move it somewhere else.

But what I was trying to say was WINDOWS down, I mean please, any audiophile would know you can't hit those numbers
with those subs, PERIOD witht he windows down. Thats all I am trying to say.

Okay, I'm done I won't post anything else about this, I'll move it to the other post.

But do you agree with what I am saying, (about the windows down)? You can PM me if you like.

But we are comparing apples to oranges here concerning that 13W7, he is prob powering 1500 watts or more a piece to those13W7's, and I bet you, his windows were rolled up, ect.

no, i agree with you....you need the windows up for air pressure. without the airpressure....most of the Db's aren't going to be accouted for.

but, yes, 13w7's are loud....i sat in his car....almost went deaf. this guy was there with the 3 time world chaimpion for SQL. his car....amazing. the car with the jl stuff in it....he took a sedan and turned the whole back seat into a sub enclosure. crazy!
