rearview camera question
So I wasn't planning on getting a rearview camera cause 1) I don't REALLY need one and 2) CCD-200 costs like $200. I work at bestbuy however and noticed that they carry the Audiovox ACA200W which I can get for $50. Will the quality be that much of a difference? Any input is appreciated.
just got the ACA200W. Its decent. In theory, more expensive cams can handle changes in light faster, clamp down overbright, and with better processing it can reject more low light induced noise. the reality is that the more expensive camera is better.. but its not 4x better by any means. its not even 2x better.
the ACA200W has good reviews because, while delivering only average video quality, it doesnt crap out on you in a few weeks. It has good mounting options, good focus, and good weather sealing. And since its exposed to the elements and theft, you arent really upset if something happens to it.
I saw alot of bad reviews/ratings on some cameras that I know are better quality. the problem is expectations. People have much higher expectations when they just spent 4x.
