Default PAC AAI volume low?

just installed an AAI-NIS2 in my 07GT (w/ bose) and it works... but the volume seems really low, is this normal? i have to crank up my mp3 player AND headunit to about 90% to hear it at a decently loud volume. but, the quality is perfect, and normal output from my mp3 player can't be the issue (10% volume is loud enough through my headphones). also, normal output from the headunit through the radio/cd player is also fine. anyone else experience this?

The products that Pacific Audio makes to tap mp3 players into factory headunits are garbage. I spent a lot of time on the phone with the technical support guys at PAC Audio to go over the same type of low volume issues that I was having with the PAC-NIS1 and in the end, they simply said, "Look, there's no way to make an aftermarket piggyback system for a factory stereo that sounds as good as a factory unit." With that kind of attitude, I have no doubt that they aren't even trying.

haha ah wow, that certainly sucks. i was listening to output from my laptop on a long-distance trip this wknd and i had mad interference/static from that at high volumes... fun times. thanks for the response though, guess i'll just have to deal with it.
