Default 1 channel mono amp w/ 2 10's

i have a 1 channel mono amp with two 10s. when i install this do they both just connect via the same channel? and it automatically splits them or is there an adapter needed for this?

Well there are a few options depending on how low of impedance the amp is capable of running safely and also what impedance the subs are and if there single or dual voice coil. My bet is that they are a single voice coil sub with a 4 ohm impedance as these are probably the most common. If the amp is capable of running at 2 ohms then hooking up both subs in parallel will put the load at 2 ohms and will drive the subs a lot harder. If this is really confusing then take a look at these diagrams
