stupid question

Default stupid question
Ok i have a ALPINE MRV F450

It says it has 50wx4 and 200wattsx1 at 14.4V

then it says 30W x 4 + 150W x 1 at 12V


I thought most batteries were 12v... So how would it run 14.4V?

once your car is started it is running off the alternator, not the battery .. the range is 12-14volts

ya sortof thought about that....

So basically the range of the power im sending to my speakers can change?

or am i getting 50wattsx2 + 200x1 to my speakers?

yes the range of power will change depending on how much voltage the amp is supplied with.. but should be consistent once everything is set up.
