alpine spx 17ref 6.5" in doors???

alpine spx 17ref 6.5" in doors???
I realize that this is a question that gets asked to no end. Need to know if these will fit in the doors with spacers. The mounting depth is 65mm or
2-17/32". The local shops up here cant seem to answer this without taking the door panels off so I dont want to order these in and then find out they wont work.
I have searched and it seems that I should be able to make these clear the window with a spacer but I would rather get a straight answer from someone before I purchase 2 sets of these.
