So no matter what I have done I get this error, I have a cd-1200 cable and its hooked up in the only spot it can be hooked to. I get no functionality unless I hit the video button then it says *ipod controls only through ipod*. Black screen with 4 buttons that dont do jack.

Also on the main menu I get the ipod control screen Video is highlited yet the rest of the tabs arent. I wait like 10 secs then it goes to error 11. Doesnt ever show my music names or even if its functioning at all. I tried a 30gig Ipod with the same results. I dont care for video so dont need the Apple AV cable. Just want to get this to work. Shouldnt be this difficult.

I have reset the ipod, the unit, unplugged it, replugged it , formatted the Itouch and reset the Avic back to factory with the exact same results.

Anyone that can help or give some helpful remedies id really appreciate it.

 

when i plug in my iphone it does that but only some of the time... all i do is unplug it, press the ipod button on the iphone, plug it back in then it says no song... then i unplug it again and then plug it back in and it works... yes i know PITA!

 

This is all the time, I am not sure if theres something I did wrong or am I missing something. I am using the 2.2 version firmware and for some reason all i see is people reporting it and noone really having a definate answer to fix it or work around it. I have no control what so ever through the Avic d3 even the 5button display that pops up doenst work. Just hoping someone can give me a fix soon.

 

if its not working with other ipods it might be a bad cable might wanna also recheck the connection in the back
