enclosure size question
When choosing the size of an enclosure should one always follow what is recommended by the sub company? I ordered an Elemental Designs e5.10 sub which recommends a .5 sq ft enclosure. I ordered my enclosure from Z enclosures and had them build me a .56sq ft enclosure to spec of the sub. Someone else is installing everything for me and when he saw the enclosure he explained that a bigger enclosure is usually better even if it is bigger than the recommended size and that most companies put the lower recommendations because most people don't want a huge box. Is this true at all? Is bigger usually/sometimes/always better?

im running my w7 in an enclosure just shy of 2.1ft^3 sealed and stuffed with 3lbs of poly fill which is way above recommended enclosure (subs probably seeing 2.4-2.5ft^3)... probably the best sealed single 10 i have heard
had it in a 1.23ft^3 originally (jl spec) and it sucked a$$
