Custom Enclosure for stock location
it sound like a monster in my car. With the bass turn booster at 25% of max boost, it sound really bad ***. I think it sound so good because of how the sub is facing and the design of the hatch.
That is the JL 10" w3v3 2 ohms 500 watts RMS. My amp is a 5 channels Infiniti Reference 5350a powering 4 speakers and the sub.. It only push out 300 watts RMS to the sub and i think that's more than enough for the Z.

Very nice Dave!! One question tho, what did you use to keep the box from moving or sliding during hard corner or spirited driving? Mine move all the way to the right!! but luckily my wires was long enough for it.
I was thinking about some high strength large velcro from Home Depot. Any thoughts?

Thanks, actually the installer formed the fiberglass to fill that whole void so well it just stays in place during hard cornering. It only goes in one way and can come out the same way. I drive pretty hard sometimes and it hasn't moved an inch.

I'm sure some velcro would work nicely if you can keep the velcro on the box and floormat. I can't think of another good way to keep it in place except maybe sandwich the floormat between the box and a small sheet of plywood with some bolts. It would suck drilling holes through your nice box though.

I've got an old (really old, bought it new in 1998) Pioneer GMX-924 pushing my 8" JL Audo 8w3v3-4. Its not enough power to properly drive the sub, but it doesn't really bother me. Its not going to set off any car alarms, but it will give you nice tight bass. I just wanted a good match to my front speakers to fill in the lower frequencies. I'll upgrade when (or if) the amp dies but for now its good enough.
Sweet sub ICE, is that a 10 or 12? I'm looking for something just like that and was wondering is it nice and tight without any rattle from the hatch?
