Ok guys, I have seen many threads on here talking about how people want to place a subwoofer in place of the stock one. After much research, there is no way one can use an free air subwoofer in that location. So my friends neighbor is a custom box maker and he is currently in the process of building me a box that fits exactly into the stock location using the metal plate. The stock cover will be able to cover it, or you can see the subwoofer facing the back of the seat. I have talked to him about possibly making more, since he already made a fiberglass template of the space. I will take pictures on friday of the finished project. This is a great alternative for those who want to utilize their trunk space and have a hidden subwoofer.

I will, I believe the cubic ft is at 1, so once I get the finished product I will check the depth mount. It is an enclosed box, but he can easily make it ported. I am very positive of a great outcome, I will keep you guys posted as the project comes around.

Sorry guys for not keeping you informed but we ran into a snag while placing the box into the space. Basically the size of the subwoofer magnet will be a limiting agent as to the size of the box. So we are still trying out different types of subwoofers for the enclosure. It is a lot of fiberglassing and shaping the box to make sure it fits right.

Yeah we did cut the bracket out but the magnet on the subwoofer has made it difficult plus the box is attached to the stock plate. The box literally slides in with the metal plate attached, fiberglassed on.
Is that the corner mount trunk box? So fitting a 10w6v2 shouldn't be a problem? How much of the trunk space does it take? Thanks.
