Don't most changers perform this way? Personally, I think the fact that music stops playing when you need to take a CD out that is not playing is a worse feature than yours is good. We may as well have single disc players! You can't listen and change at the same time? Whats that about?

Default Amp?

I have an 03 touring model with the Bose 6CD system, but was not aware there was supposed to be an Amp in the trunk. Where is it located?

I am with you! Did not know the Amp was inside (somewhere) the hatch. Actually went looking at TSB and did not see anything on Amp. From what I have read, this is for "Z's" manufactured in 2002. Also during a certain period in 2002. Nice if we knew what VIN # are effected.

But it says it's going to be sent to Nissan and Bose on 8/12. That's in the past. :-) What good will signing it now do?

It should have said "10/12".
Thanks, I fixed it.
Still a few days left!

The letter sent to Nissan/Bose will have a link to the URL, so they will be able to see names in addition to those in the letter.

I'm the second owner for my 03 touring. Apparently the original owner never got the HU and amp replaced. Hall Nissan is replacing them for me tomorrow. I was surprised how little discussion there was about it. I put it on my list of things to get fixed during the 15K service (along with axle clicking). Unfortunately they didn't have parts in stock so I'm going in a second time.

The first owner did get the feathering repaired at 10,000 miles, and it doesn't look like it has returned.

different 6 disk Bose HU and speakers that GM uses? I haven't heard the Z's but the ones in our SS sounds outstanding. I'm glad I read this as a heads up as I don't wanna pay the extra $ for poor quality speakers. I was hoping the Bose speakers were good so I could just replace the HU with the new sony flip face and put my stealth box in the back, looks like I gotta buy another amp and more JL.

Bose is crap. The AC/Delco in my '94 Trans Am sounded better. I was not at all surprised at the sound "quality" in my '04 Z, but I couldn't get the dealer to subtract the stereo from the price since I'd already gotten him so low. I wouldn't plan on sticking with the Bose speakers, but you can always just buy a new head unit first, see if you like it, and then replace the speakers if/when you're dissatisfied.
