Default Install Help...Cable lengths

Hi Everyone,

Will start my audio install soon and need to purchase RCAs, amp wire, etc. before beginning to help cut down the emergency trips to CC and BB!

I plan to mount the amp (A/D/S 850.2) in the Bose Sub area behind the driver's seat. So, RCAs from the Eclipse 8061 will run down the center console and power wire for the amp, down the passenger side door area.

For those of you that have done this before, what length power wire from the battery to the amp will I need and how long must the RCAs be?

Also, I'll be building an amp board/rack for the A/D/S, so if anyone has done one that they would like to share the drawings or pictures, that would be great too. Board will also have the Balanced line converter for the Eclipse as well as a capacitor.

Thanks.

My wire runs in my install are exactly what you intend, and I used this kit from Crutchfield (actually 2 of them):
http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N Couldn't beat the price, $50 for a kit with everything needed. The braided RCAs were a ***** to keep untangled so I loomed them all (3 pair).

The power cable (17ft) was a little long, maybe ~2-3 feet. The RCAs (16.4 ft) were also a few feet too long but better to overestimate in this case. You could probably get away with 14 foot RCAs.
