Default Avic D3 review

I realize that this topic has probably been brought up multiple times, but I wanted to get some updated reviews on the product since it is fairly old. I am planning to pick one up pretty soon and heard some mixed reviews, especially about the navigation and how it is very inaccurate. I tried to search but most of the topics seem to be on installs and problems installing, so i figured an updated review would be nice.

Thank you

go to avic411.com they will give you plenty of info.

i have it and i like it, the navigation is a little "challenged" with the shortest exact route sometimes but i havent noticed any huge problem.

some people prefer the avic over the new f series

Navigation can be difficult at times, but its still better than the OEM units.

There is an upgraded Navigation disc that supposedly solves many of the quirks that you should look into for sure.

I am using one in my Civic currently and I prefer it over the F-900. The Navi is pretty decent and the interface is one of the best. I could have gotten any Nav unit bu I chose this one because of its simple ease of use and features.
