With the exception of running the wires in to the drivers door for lock/unlock these cars arn't hard at all - it amazes me that out of two shops neither were able to get it done in a day - this is a 5-6 hour job for ONE person.

 

The second Best Buy I took it too had it done in about 6 hours with installing all the features, I had to work so I was not able to pick it up before they closed. He was also training a new installer and was showing him how to hook up all the extra goodies.

 

So I'm having my gf's 350z getting this module installed.

The installer said that I'd need the module for the lock/unlock ($30). Seems like he doesn't want to open the door panel and use it under the dash instead. Is that okay?

 

I would have them run the wires in to the doors so you can hook up the remote window up / down. Also, I've heard of people having intermittent lock problems when using the can bus module.
