Default radar detectors

I'm looking for a radar/ laser detector, it looks like the best are the Passport 8500, and Valentine 1. Does anyone have any ideas on which one is better? Or, is there one I'm missing

Thanks

Thumbs up V1

Having just returned from a 4300 mile road trip from TX to NH and back, I can state that the V1 is unsurpassed! My Passport is history! The V1 has better sensitivity and the unique arrows give you a bit more information about the threat.

V-1 saved me twice so far and I have only had it one week. the first time I was doing a little over 100 and a cop was behind me maybe a half mile back. i slowed tro about 70 and sure enough he passed me about a min or two later. 100mph is loss of license and like 3 - $400 bucks well worth it.

The BEL 985 isnt a bad model either. It competes pretty closely with the V1 and the best thing about it, it talks!!

V1 all the way! You'll appreciate the directional arrows.
