Another basslink behind the driver seat thread
Here is my plan. I am going to take off the bose sub bracket and stick a basslink in there after sound proofing the area a little bit.
I purchased a david navone Line output converter and an 8 guage amp wiring kit. I intend to buy much shorter RCA cables than what came with the kit so that I can keep the LOC close to the basslink. I will skip the process of running a power cable with fuse to the battery and ground to chassis.
With the LOC's RCA inputs now plugged into the basslink I will then attach my ground and remote out coming from the LOC to the basslink as well.
That leaves me with 4 speaker wires left. A LR +, LR -, RR +, and a RR - and one 12v wire. These are the short wires coming from the LOC.
My intent is to tap into the right rear and left rear speakers to finish the job and hopefully connect the 12v to an accessory port at the fuse box or somewhere near where I tap the speakers.
Any suggestions on where the easiest and best place to get to these speaker wires will be? I originally planned on just doing it right behind the speakers but it seems like a real pain in the butt to take off all those extra panels which have nothing to do with exposing the bose location for this project.
Can I simply access the wires when I take off the rear quarter panels for the sub plate removal?
A little help would be much appreciated. I think this topic could really use a DIY with pics. It seems to be one of the most common mods around here and I plan on taking pics when I do this soon.
Thanks.
