I know it can be done, and i just want to know more specifically want i need to purchase. Can i purchase the pac audio setup so i dont have to cut and splice, or should i just get a 4 wire to rca converter? can you guys give me some specific brands and let me know where you spliced it. Not trying to be a newb, so thanks ahead of time

I have done this, and I had a very hard time doing it. There was not a straight forward diagram anywhere. But basically I had a line converter tied into the stock bose sub wires. Works great, and sounds good to me. If I could do it over again, I would do the PAC audio adapter behind the radio and just run RCA's to the back. But this saved me from taking the dash apart.

The previous owner of my 350 had a 4 wire to RCA converter installed and it did not sound anywhere near as good as it sounds now with the JVC KW-AVX820 head unit I installed. Unless you are determined to stick with the factory stereo, I say replace it with an aftermarket head unit with a higher voltage pre-out for a sub.
