My new sub / amp are going to be here wednesday ..

ordered -

JL 10W7
JL 500/1v2
JL bass control ****
4 gauge wiring kit
High / Low converter

Zenclosure 10" 10w7 box w/ amp rack

.....................


now my question is .. do I hook the high / low converter up to the bose sub amp BEFORE or AFTER the amp?

basically do I need to use the signal before the amp or after the amp?

I'm assuming I use the signal before the amp .. but just making sure

oh .. another question

I've been reading the service manual and it turns out that the "AMP ON SIGNAL" is turned on with the key, NOT the head unit


should I hook this up to the JL amp since it will turn it on every time I turn the car on? .. or leave it off (read something about the JL amp has "auto sensing on" or something from the signal / input wires)

took my bose sub and amp out today .. the amp is tiny and screwed to a small plastic box

there was a harness plugged to the side of the plastic box .. then a small harness going from there to inside the box to the amp ..

took it apart and spliced into that little harness so I could go back to stock if I had to later with the main harness uncut


as for which wires I used .. #1 and #2 ( + and - amp input)

ran some long rca's to my brothers car and I GOT BEAT YO


bass control on the stock HU does control it some .. I got a ton of bass coming straight out of the converter, probably gonna have to turn down the level screws on the converter or my JL amp once I get my stuff all wired up this weekend
