Sub question
Has anyone do just sub and box? Stock HU, stock speakers, converter, sub/amp?
Just wondering what kinda difference because I wanted to use my leftover stuff from last car and trying do upgrade in steps.
Got JL 250/1 and 10w6 v2 with small ported box.

I have the stock radio (NOT BOSE) and I used a line level converter off my rear speakers. I placed that, and the amp inside the stock sub compartment and sealed it off with a JL audio free air 10" subwoofer.
Sounds good. you can't hear me coming from miles away but there is a nice balance of sound and deep bass. Keeping the stock radio was a tough choice for me considering my last 4 cars had been hooked up with the finest of audio components, but I am livin with it just fine.
Now I can hear everyone yelling "DAMN!!! Nice ride"

Thanks for the reply. That was my thinking for a starting point being that I have the non-bose as well, line-level/sub/amp but with my small box between the rear speakers arch. Should be just enough for now

Will this work?
Along the same line as WakaZ's original post, I have a question.
I have an 8" sub (Bazooka tube) that I want to throw in my Z, but it has the stock BLOZE system so I'm not sure it will work. Can anyone answer the following questions for me:
1.) Can I run this without changing anything?
2.) If I have to change/add something, what is it?
3.) Where do I connect it?
-Speaker Specs-
Power Threshold: 6 - 300 watts
Impedance: 4 ohm
Sensitivity: 102 db
Frequency Response: 39 - 1500 hz.
Recommended Power: 150 watts (rms)
Voice Coil Size: 2" high pwr./high temp.
Magnet Weight: 36 oz.
