Default questions about bi-wiring components

I just started messing around with a set of a/d/s 346cs component speakers and was wondering about the benefits of bi-wiring. The crossovers have inputs for either bi-wiring or bi-amping and I can definitely see the benefits of running dual amps as this will give you complete seperate control of the woofer and the tweeter but what will bi-wiring do as a benefit when running off the same amplifier?

i wouldn't do it either, ive heard of little to no differences and at the bottom of the link i posted where he talks about the disadvantages it actually sounds like it could create an unnatural sound which i think some people mistake for a "better" sound.
