^^^ What are you thinking and saying!?!? If that's the case, then just remove yours (even the stock junk) and see how your stereo system sounds. OP, if you want quality and a good system you need to pay for it - just that simple. If you don't have a discriminating taste, and there's nothing wrong with that, then don't invest so much. I imagine that you've started this thread due to the stock stuff not sounding optimum. If that's the case, you need to replace it all (it's junk BTW - compare it to decent speakers and you'll see)

BTW - I've figured out how to put (EDIT) Boston PRO60's in my rear speaker space and my system is excellent IMHO. Everything is amped of course. With amps under the seat.

Its been a general consensus that replacing the rear speakers is a waste of time and $ regardless of what quality your gear is. Highs and mids generally dont come from behind you not to mention through a seat. Imo the sound coming from the rear just confuses the sound of the front stage. But anyway sound quality is subjective so to eaches own

Everything I was saying was about the rear speakers and NOT the sub. You're right about sound quality, it is indeed subjective. Because if the MAJORITY says the rears don't matter, then I'll have to throw out the MAJORITY. I wish we could have this discussion in person with my vehicle and a stock vehicle. You'd have to be deaf not to hear the difference. PRO60's are two-way speakers (a mid-range speaker with a co-axial tweeter that can be separated for components with passive crossovers). The mids and highs are fantastic - with the seats there and all. I have to open my storage boxes in back to eliminate the vibration due to the power and great sound of these. Duro78, I don't know why you and the "majority" have come to the conclusion that the rear speakers are useless.

BTW - there is plenty of space between the seats and those speakers to hear them. When my system was stock, you're right, I could'nt barely hear them!
