Sure its big and NOT custom fit under the strut bar or in stock sub spot, but when its said and done i can say i made it, it sounds great and when its carpeted and has the panel i drew up, its gonna look just as good as any of those custom enclosures.
Also this box was made taking in consideration any future upgrades. Ill post some pics when its all done and hopefully then you'll see where i am going with this. Anyhow didnt mean to jack this thread.
Well keep us posted as to your future plans but the whole point of the Z not being practical is that much more of a reason to spend a little extra and make the most out of the room we have

i am skeptical you were able to build that BIG *** box for $25. a sheet of MDF cost that much, not to mention sealant, screws, time, etc... The one I posted would have worked MUCH better for the same price, already carpeted. I actually just got my install done, it doesn't look too bad. wish I had 2 10's though. 1 w3v3 10" isn't enough... NEED MORE BASSSS!!!!

your box is in the middle of the cargo area, at least if you have a zenclosure you can lay something across the back. But if you wanna save $75 good deal. But i bet the zenclosure would have sounded a lot better

same air space as the zen closure, so the sound is the same. the only way I would use a zen enclosure is if I decide i need 2 10".

again, just showing there are cheap options OUTSIDE of the zen enclosure, EVERYONE with a stereo in a z has... EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

not to mention i saved about 30LBS

^^^the zenclosure is a cheap option. You mentioned everyone with a stereo has a zenclosure think about that for a minute there must be a reason why. Everyone with a z has 4 rims and 4 tires so what does that mean. Saving weight you have sand bags in your cargo area lol.. I commend you on saving $ but when it comes to quality most people dont mind spending. Zenclosure=Z ... your box= civic

if you buy a $20 box, it'll look like a $20 box. it looks out of place and doesnt flow will with the trunk- plus it hogs all the space in the middle of your trunk. i would personally spend the extra money for a wicked cas corner box and have it be out of the way.

as long as your happy with it, i guess thats all that matters...but,

that thing is a monstrosity and renders your who cargo area essentially useless. the fact that you say your saving weight while running around with 100lbs of sand is comical. i think you are just trying to justify your cheapness
