I plan on replacing the stock clarions with JL C5 6.5's and i plan to power them with a jl 300/4, I do plan on later getting a Jl stealthbox and powering that with a 500/1. Any comments? I don't see many people go with Jl components and Coaxials, can anyone verify that focal or some other brand/make would be better for reasonable pricing?

 

I went with Focal components for the doors and Focal full ranges for the rear. Have a Kenwood amp and Kenwood DDX514 HU. No need for sub, plenty of bass with the Focal's.

 

What model Focal's did you go with? I already have a pioneer Z110bt head unit

 

I used to have some C5 JL's and was not impressed, JL makes a great AMP, even better subs....but would not buy JL components again.

For $300 per pair I'm currently looking at:
Hertz (don't know exactly which ones yet)
Boston Acoustics SPC series
DLS 6upi
All are great speakers that I have I find have some great quality. Focal is nice but too expensive and not worth it in my eyes.
