Default Which Amp is better/price? JL 500/1v2 or J2 500.1

Looking to buy an amp to power 10v3.2 Sub. J2 500.1 is a Class B amplifier 500RMS@2OHM.

the Slash 500/1v2 is a 500RMS@2OHM mono Class D amp. I know class D is better, but its also 600 versus 250. Is it really worth the extra money? For the budget build is the Class B amp satisfactory?

imo i would keep looking around.

1. Jl over priced u can get comparable performance for much less

2. If you want to upgrade down the road either with the z or another car that your gonna have to buy another amp, Buy a d class with more than enough watts take care of it and you'll have it for years

Get the 500/1v2, Many people do say JL is over priced, I used to have a 500/1 in my last car (totaled). The 500/1v2 will power two 10w3 just fine, so in your case the 500/1 is great. If you do get it, I'd get it through crutchfield through the "signature line" you get an extended warranty for free...ish. What ever you do make sure you get the product from an authorized dealer.

JL makes great subs, Great amps. (wouldn't buy anything else from them though)

Other good brands:
Rockford Fosgate
Alpine

If you need help finding a amp in the range for your sub just call crutchfield tell'em what you have and what your price range is. They'll tell you some good amps to fit the sub you have, you don't have to buy from crutchfield the advice is free.

I'm not a spokesperson, just had a good experience with them.
