I saw measurements but do know if its the same as other gps or lcd screens members have been fitting in the cubby does it appear that it will fit snug in the cubby hole? Has anyone found 03 cubbies for cheaper cus $160 for a little box with a retractable door is ridiculous. The only thing that scares me is at the bottom ppl have been having little issues with the unit hong kong quality idk . that site has some cool stuff gonna pick up a new scale for $10 lol

It fits snug in there, i don't think I am going to screw it in at all. It doesn't move, i drove around with it like that all day. the only prob with this gps is the battery drains fast, like I only got about 2 hour on it. but, other than that it works perfect.

I have a gps that fits snug and perfect just like that, only problem with it is, the battery SUCKS and sometimes it takes 5-10 minutes just for it to pick up a signal. How many times have you used it? Does it pick up signal quickly all the time? What is fast? 10 second? 2 minutes? This is the first gps ive ever had, so I don't know if mine is considered slow or normal compared to other gps out there.

yeah, the battery life does suck. but it runs just fine off of the supplied cig lighter plug. when its dead it takes it about 5 min or so charge to get it back going again with the cig lighter plug but, i am sure that stands true for any gps. the signal is strong in the cubby, which a lot of units have problems with that unless they have a external antenna. this one gets full signal.
oh, and to the person who just ordered one of these. there is some real good info about hacking the unit in the forums. also, don't freak out when it takes 3 weeks to get the thing, it's coming from hong kong. it took about 3 1/2 weeks to get mine.... it sat in customs for a week though. it's all trackable through the hong kong post and usps

I may have missed it if someone said it, but can you update it for traffic gps? I have a garmin and the main reason i AM keeping it is because I can update it anytime I want to my pc.
