Default Front and rear speakers JL

I'm thinking of installing JL C5-650x in the front and JL C5-650 components in the rear and putting their tweeters in the front with a JL 300/4 V2 amp, will the C5-650x fit the front? and will this sound good?

Thanks, Lester

there are much better components to be had for the price of those jls dont get caught up in the jl hype. the fronts are 6.5 so yeah they will fit and you do not need two sets of tweets for that setup...1 set of jl tweets are harsh enough.. Take care of your front stage and if you dont want a sub in the back think about a 6.5 or 8 inch mid bass not be mistaken for midrange .

what speakers would you recommend? the JL's are $275.00 a pair and you say they are not worth that? Can you explain the use of a 6.5" or 8" mid bass setup?

A 6.5 midrange is just that handles sounds in a certain range on the other hand a midbass
offers the mild thump of a subwoofer but it does need to be in an enclosure. B4 you spend any $ dynamat and seal your front doors at a minimum the sound difference is night and day trust me. Its not that much work and it elevates your front stage to a whole new level. My350z isnt really centered around car audio so I suggest checking out caraudio.com and read through the speaker forum. Theres a sticky on the top about sealing your doors plus it will recommend speakers that will blow away those jls for half the price pm me if you have any other ?s

i say the jls arent worth it because there tweets are very harsh and the midranges dont really offer sttrong mids. for that price I expect to be blown away. Check out the site i told you about those guys know there stuff and dont get caught up with the hype there suggestions will cost less than half and out perform in anyway. my pg rsd's which are $80 blow everyone I know that has there mainstream stuff dont mistake cost for quality.

These things are just ridiculous for the price the bass hits very hard for mid ranges and they get very loud, can also take more watts then recommended. google them you'll see pages of ppl raving about them best bang for the buck. The tweets are nice and smooth not harsh. ill put thses ap against $150-$200 components any day and they'll hold there own

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/speake...ening-you.html

honestly since i did my doors and installed the comp ive been riding with the subs off. Not sure if you deadened and sealed your doors but it is an absolute must trust me its the difference between sounding good and sounding like ***. Amazon actually has free shipping on the dynamat thats where they get you i got 36 sq ft for $93 and it was enough to do my doors and trunk area.I had 1 door done with the speaker installed ands just the speaker in the other door its just a ridiculous difference.. Check this link out

Thanks for the info duro Ill be ordering the PG front 6.5 speakers tonight. I was in desperate need of replacing the crappy stockers even though Im not much of an audio guy.

BTW, Im going to disconnect my rear speakers and I already have the Pioneer Avic D3. Do you suggest I get an amp for maximum quality out of these PG speakers or just stick with the stock non bose set up?
Thanks again.
