Default 3-12's? Has it been done?

Hi, I am new to the forum, as I just bought an 04 Z and let me just say, I'm in Love have always been an M3 fan, but wouldn't trade my Z for one now. Anyways I'm a car audio freak, and I have searched and searched but can't seem to find anyone that has tried what I'm looking to do. Has anyone ever put 3-12's in a Z right behind the seats by taking out, what I call it your glove box and all that, if so could you please post some pics as I would like to see to get some ideas.

i dont know about behind the seats... that seems there would be a lot of cutting involved... plus thats not a popular place to put 3 subs anyway... i did 3 12's in the "trunk/hatch" area

i would do a fiber glass box 2(12's) facing the rear. That will give you all the beat you will need.

why put 3 in a enclosure that will be too small. Now if you used 2 instead in the right airspace it would get louder and hit harder than the 3. In a stock bodied Z theres no way you r fitting enough cubes for 3 twelves (ported) but since your asking about 3 why go sealed with that setup your obviously seeking loudness

Right on everyone thanks for your inputs. I guess the only logical thing to do is get out the measuring tape and start getting some numbers. Me and my buddy did do some rough numbers,(not taking off the panels, or removing the glove box thing, to see exactly what we are working with) and we came up with around 12 cubes, that is plenty enough space for 3-12's in a ported enclosure. I did see today, that there is some kind of metal like brace or something that is in the middle of the box behind the seat. Is this how its bolted to the car or, if not is it removeable? Does anyone know?

I have 2 twelves(sealed) in the space between the rear strut and the rear speakers. With the amp in the compartment were you would put the 10in sub.

Tahoes and suburbans have way more space than that man, I have seen a dude with 4-18's in that space that is in a 20 cubic ft box that pounds, just google steve meade if you don't believe me. Honestly my measurements aren't off as I can read a tape measure and can do simple math. I was just wanting to know if it had been done, and maybe check out some pics of their install. Not tryin to argue with someone about something that I've been doing for 10+ years.

there are two braces in the middle separating the glove boxes. i think you'll be hard pressed to find more than 4cft back there and that's factoring in if you cut the brace out.

Like i said there is no 12 cubes in a z and Im well aware of Meade. Your speaking of a sponsored heavyweight in the car audio biz, your taking it to the extreme for the average joe Tell me is it more common to see 12 cubic ft enclosures in a tahoe/suburban or 20. (Ive been on this forum for 6 years and have yet to see anything bigger than a 4 cu. enclosure. Since when does years in a business mean the person knows what there doing

I think Duro78 has a point... I only got(if i can remember) about 3.75 in the hatch...I honestly think I don't even have that much... and that was by removing everything(spare tire, foam, even cut the bracket for the spare)...
