Default blinking headlight

i just now noticed tonight my headlight blinking and it has me completely confused. the main HID bulb on the passenger side will blink QUICKLY every 3-12 seconds with no pattern. i dont know what to do! anyone heard of something like this? i have stock 03 HID headlights. i removed them once long ago to paint the housings but thats about it.

Is this while you are driving or while the car is stationary?

while the car is off and locked. everything is fine while i drive. and after about a half hour after i park it...it seems to stop

Bump.... Mine did the same thing but now it wont even light up anymore...

Either your ballast or bulb is going. It will have to be replaced soon.

Has the bulb changed from a white to a pinkish color?

well now the blinking has stopped. and i dont notice a pinkish color in the light

My 2007 Civic Si did this with aftermarket conversion. I know your HIDs are factory, but I knew why mine did that.

It was the lack of a proper resistor in the conversion kit.

I think your ballast is starting to go.
