Motorized Cluster Lid - 68250-CD070 - $108
Motorized Cluster Lid Amp - 24898-CD010 - $187.60
The amp was in the dealership's parts system as "circuit board" or something generic like that which is what made it hard to find. Pretty pricy though... Fortunately I'm crazy enough (or stupid enough) to give it a try so I'll order one tomorrow.

Has anyone gotten their hands on the '04 motorized one to see how a screen will be mounted to it?

Have you installed the front lip catch part yet? I went to the dealer and these were the parts that I may need.
1. Lid cluster 68250-CD010 ~ $78
2. Finisher 68410-CD000 ~ $11
3. Mat-Pocket 68263-CD000 ~ $9
Do you know if I will need all these parts?

Sorry, I haven't gotten a chance to get down to the dealer to get the "lip" yet.. My car is going through various transfomations (new rims and now an ATI blower) and there are car parts all over my house .. It probably won't be until April when i can make it down there..
That's a great price on #1 and that should be all you really need(that's all I used).. I don't know what the other parts are...

Now I'm confused, so if you have a 2004 non nav compartment, the only options are the alpine screen and the Sony XVM-H65? Or will those only fit in the 2004 with nav?...I'm tired and thus a little slow.

after a month of asking aruond...it seems like it's impossible/pain in *** to put a screen in non nav 2004 without cutting.
i think im just gonna say fck it to the compartment and get an eclipse that replaces my stock HU and has the screen. jasdklfjaklserjgklawergjklerajklg

The "front lip catch" officially known as the "finisher", allows you to close the lid..So now I'm a very happy camper!

Well, the good news is that you can clean up your whole "custom mod" by dropping in a new 2003 lid cluster and finisher..
When you remove the box portion of the 2003 lid cluster (no cutting required) you can put anything flat right up against it like your carbon fiber-ed(is that a word?) Apexi SAFC or an lcd screen..

Do you have any pictures with the lid closed? I'd like to see how much the colors vary. Is there a possibility of using the 04 door or "door skin"?
Thanks.

Good deal. I've already had my huge install done, including cutting out the 2004 nav pocket. However, I'm not happy with the look of the results, so I think I'll go the 2003 conversion route. Thanks for the part numbers! I have an Alpine TME-M760 that we had to disassemble even to fit in the cut-up 04 nav pocket. From what I've seen, I'll be able to put the whole screen (fully assembled) in the 03 compartment. Much cleaner.

Lid closed with no flash.. notice the 2004 dash is a little bit more "round" than the 2003.. This causes a very slight gap on top. The visual texture is the same but the tactile feel is different. The 2004 dash has a slight rubbery feel while the 2003 is smooth plastic. Also this picture is dark but it's a good representation of the color difference.. it's slight..
Lid closed with flash.. The flash makes the color difference more obvious.. but again it's only slightly noticible in a real world condition
...and here's one with the lid open.. the way I keep it 99% of the time:
I thought about switching just the lid portion but decided that I wasn't smart or 133t enough to do it .. besides I wasn't building a show car.. I just wanted it to be neat looking to the untrained eye.. my friends can't tell that anything is not perfect unless I tell them
heck, the radio is a different color from the factory too!
