Default go pro interior mounting locations

I can't seem to find a good interior spot to mount a go pro hero on the inside. I found a couple of cool angles on the outside, but nothing was looking right from the dash.

I imagine a few of you have been crafty, I have a suction cup w/ arm setup and I have a 3m sticky mount that I can work with.

any suggestions?

What area do you want to capture in the video?

I've seen a lot of track vids that are kind of 'over the shoulder', that show a little bit of the dash and the view out the windshield, those are pretty cool but I can't fathom a way to do it without some custom work. the arm I have is only about a half a foot long : )

I am open to suggestions, though, I just want to record a few laps on a road course from the interior for a mix video.

Well, with the arm that comes with the Go Pro, you're not going to get the view you're thinking of unless if you go with a different mount and camera.

The shots you're thinking of are done with roll/harness bar mounts or headrest mounts and a camera with a mount underneath.

The only way I've used my Go Pro inside the car was mounting it next to the rear view mirror facing forward towards the windshield.

The shots I've taken like the one you're wanting was with a headrest mount and a DV camera since I didn't have my harness bar at the time.

this gives me ideas for later though!
