Default Taking out A Pillar

Has anyone ever try to take out the A Pillar? What is the easiest quickest way to do it. Any info or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

a SAWZALL or a very low overpass (be sure to duck).

You must mean something different. The A pillar is the steel pillar that is on both sides of the windshield. B pillar is behind the door. C pillar is behind that.

on the inside, where the tweeter is mounted ?
Or the outside, where side-view mirrors are mounted.

Am assuming (since you posted in Audio forum) that you mean the inside piece. Just remove the door panel, and pull off the plastic cover.
Tweeter mounts with a couple of screws.
3/4" tweeter will fit in stock location perfectly.

Sawzall is quicker though

that would be the sail panel where the factory tweeters are at. Im talking about the plastic panel on each side of the front winshield...Im planning to put a set of 3" mids and 1" tweets there to improve imaging.

Not to brun but, how are you going to custom build a mid and tweet into the a and b pillars if you dont even know how to pull them off ? Oh and to get them off just pull back the weather stripping and them pull pillar cover towards steering wheel.

i appreciate the reply. I kinda had an idea but not totally sure and dont want to break anything. As for putting speakers in the area, I already have a plan. It might be a challege but hopefully things will turn out good. Again, thanks for ur reply...
