Hey all,
I just purchased a pioneer AVH-3100 touch screen for my 350z. I have a touring so i have the bose system. Will the bose speakers work fine with the aftermarket HU? Or will i have to buy new ones? From what i gather it seems like they will work but wont sound great unless you buy new speakers. Thank you.

I have the same thing you do now (the Blows Unit) in my Touring. The aftermarket HU will do wonders for the equalization of sound, but the speakers themselves will never produce the crystal clarity you may want out of a quality HU. My suggestion would be to replace them, but try it out first.

Personally, when I get around to it, I'm swapping it all out at the same time since some decent , quality speakers will only add about $400-$600 to the final package. Best of Luck and make sure to post som pics!

 

It will work just fine. If anything it will sound the same if not a little better.

 

Hey! Here is what you can try: I used a device, PAC ROEMNIS2 for Bose HU replacement and it worked just fine, my Bose speakers and sub sound just like it used to sound with the Bose HU. I had a pioneer as well, Z110BT and I did not use this replacement interface at the first place. Speakers sound awful and sub was almost dead so that is not the way to go with. To replace the HU you will use a harness for 15-20 bucks anyways. This PAC device is only $40 and well worth it.

If you are asking for the best thing to do, then replace everything. If you replace the speakers, you will also have to replace the sub and amp. I don't think Bose amp will work fine with aftermarket speakers. So if you have an extra 1K to spend on good speakers, amp and sub go for it, you will never regret after seeing the difference between crappy Bose and your new system if not, PAC will at least let you keep your current sound quality
