Default Just bought my first Valentine One

Purchased my first Valentine One today. Also ordered the blend mount with wire cover and a/c adapter to auto-dim mirror. Total cost was almost $600. I hope this freaking thing works.

I just wasted a minute of my life reading this.

BTW -that seems mighty expensive. $200 for the "blend mount with wire cover and a/c adapter to auto-dim mirror"?

Of course it will work. The Decatur Genesis II Directional Radar shoots a beam of electrons at 186,282 miles per second. The beam travels from the gun, bounces off your car, then returns to the gun. That gives you plenty of time to hit the brakes.

^^^ That gun is why you need a radar/laser jammer..

Ahaha, he probably bought it from a place other than V1 where it's $500. Either that or someone charged him out the *** to install it for him.

^ $100 seems awful steep to stick a radar detector onto a windshield and plug it in haha

Their is only one way to absolutely avoid a ticket DONT SPEED!!!

I use the eagle II on duty and also have access to hand held LIDAR guns. I believe I encountered a jammed/scrambled signal on a Jaguar XJ, and he still got a ticket, because I paced him for 1/4 mile.

Keep your eyes open and make note of common trap areas. Some of the guys are lazy and work the same area over and over again, but I tend to move around a lot. The only thing I can say a radar unit is good for is a heads up for the lazy cops who do not pause the radar units and run them steady looking for the fastest car. They aren't illegal hear, and I have one in my POV / Z but its only for a heads up ever so often plus it was FREE!!

IF you like it great, and it might save you money from time to time!!

^^^ True. Radar detectors are not perfect. It takes some common sense and experience to use one and never get caught.

you should have probably paid 500 total, i sold my V1 for $350 used with the most recent update, you probably should have looked around

however i used it for roadtrips up and down the east coast a few times, they are pretty amazing, mostly because it will be for over a mile annoying you, and then you see the cop and cant believe it worked.. but its not a free pass to speed so dont think you can do 100 whenever and be safe.

Did you have to confiscate his radar jammer/scrambler? He probably should have had a switch to turn it on and off when needed.

Never confirmed he had one. just got double bar on the hand held. Its never happened b4, and we were told it was a sign of a jammer. We were in an unmarked car at the time so he didn't know we we after him.
