Default Bose sub problems

I've had my 04 z for probably 3 months, and i have the bose premium package; my sub keeps cutting in and out- liike it'l be on for a week or so and then i'll be thumpin and it'll cut out for a while.. then in a few days it'll start workin again. I'm pretty sure it's not blown, but is it possible i have a loose wire or something?

I'd say ditch the bose, throw some amps where the sub use to be and put 2 or 3 10's in the trunk

I never had a bose and with the 3 eD 10's sitting behind my head, I dont think I ever will....
