Default Help Identify Wires- pics inside

Hey guys,

So i stared for hours at a wiring diagram from the service manual and it mentions left rear speaker +/- and right rear speaker +/- colors that I do not see. Can someone identify left rear +/- and right rear +/- looking at this. I want to obtain my line out RCA signal off those wires.

Thanks.

i think that if you look at the wires closely then it would have labels on it.

Are you looking at the service manual from your model year or another? They are not all the same.

Those won't be an RCA level (low level) signal from those wires. They are a high level speaker signal level.

Unless your amplifier is designed to accept a high level signal on the low level (RCA) inputs it's not going to work right, and you risk damaging your amp. Very few amps are designed to do this.

You will more than likely need a "line output converter"... What is does is convert the high level (speaker level) signals to a lower voltage, low level signal (RCA). A very popular inexpensive one is the "Trunk-LOC" made by PAC Audio. You'll spend anywhere from $30-50 for a line output converter. Most car audio shops will have one in stock, and know what you are talking about if you go in and ask for one.

These are the wire colors I have on file for the rear speaker signals from the deck:

2003/04/05:
LR Speaker +/- lt. green/red - black/yellow

RR Speaker +/- blue/orange - black/pink

2006/07:
LR Speaker +/- lt. green/red - black/yellow
Note:Also brown - black/red on some models.

RR Speaker +/- blue/orange - black/pink
Note:Also blue - pink on some models.

If you have any other questions send me a PM. I've been a professional installer for many years

Thanks al@phatrides, i actually got it working by splicing the LOC with the factory sub +/- right behind the seat to get the RCA signal. Its hitting hard. My hair is moving... lol
