Default Tweeter speaker size

Hi,

Anyone knows the size of the tweeter speakers? It's an 03 Z. Is there any write up of how to install the tweeters?

Thanks in advance.

From what you are saying above, I'm assuming you're talking about the stock tweeters. (I'm confused because you asked about the size - which is a aftermarket tweeter question). ANYWAY, the stockers are about 1" or so and they simply bolt in once you get the sail off - which carefully snaps in and out if my memory serves. If this is about aftermarket tweeters LMK. I have 1.5" from a Boston Pro 60SE system and they sound fantastic.

Yes, they're the stock tweeters, can they be replaced easily?

Thanks

Not really. I wouldn't call a self install "easy" but it can be done. It all depends what you do. If you use the stock speaker wires that go to the tweeter, then it's really easy. But I would NEVER do that. Quality tweeters call for ample sized wire. That's the really hard part. It can be done. Do a search on running new wire to the door. But, here's my example of replacing the stock tweeters with quality aftermarkets:

I used a drill with the proper hole size blu-mol hole saw tip. Here's an example

http://blumol.net/holesaws.html

Centered properly, I got the rough hole. From the first pic you see a wood dowel. This is wrapped in various grade sand paper from rough to fine to get the final sized hole for the tweeter. The twitter should fit snug. Once it's in, I used silcone adhesive on the back to secure it in. The whole was so snug I really didn't need the adhesive. But, I didn't want them to vibrate out somehow. Hope this helps.

BTW : here's the after with aftermarket tweeter mounted. See the big blue/clear wire going into the sail. That's the better wire that was run into the door. (acutally it first went to a crossover mounted in the door then to the tweet and the midrange speaker):
