Default Front speaker replacement advice. Should I do it?

I have a 2003 350z w/ Bose system NON navigation but already swapped out the OEM head unit w/ a Pioneer Avic-Z2. Now I have a pair of Kenwood KFC-1693PS 6.5in 3-Way Car Speakers laying around. Everything else besides the Pioneer HU is stock. Since most people say that ANYTHING is better than the Bose..should I swap out the front speakers? Have anybody heard anything about these? Thanks guys.

Bose speakers are OK. You probably won't get a big difference if you change speakers.

It's the BOSE sub and amp that's horrible.

Front speaker install is fairly quick and simple, if the speakers will fit. You need to worry primarily about depth, as too deep a speaker will hit the window glass. A common practice is to take the OEM speakers, rip the cone and magnet off, and use what's left as a spacer for the new speakers.

the other thing to worry about would be the crossover as I am in that mess right now...trying to figure out where to mount the crossover...especially if you have larger crossovers...

oh wait...i guess you do not need to worry about the crossover...
