hmm... if you can set it up in the ash tray location, so that it sticks up like an ipod dock, that would be sick... other then that, the only things i can think of would be drilling a hole somewhere. hope someone else chimes in!

Mine comes in from back of cubby. I'm using a nano and have it with my Garmin Nuvi in the cubby. Cubby door is only open when using the GPS, otherwise its closed and you don't see either.

Older version Kenwood DDX514, replaced by 516, just one of several models that look very similar. My is the basic double din, no GPS, no Satelite, or HD Radio, . The different model numbers determine features. I'm good with my Ipod, and FM , and occasional CD/DVD.

NIce idea with the Garmin unit in the cubby, is it a pain in the buttocks area to have to look down at the unit while driving & having to take your eyes of the road??

I don't really look at the screen that long as much as I listen to Emily (my chosen GPS voice, female w/british accent...) speak the directions to me ! ! !

Hey steven, I am planning on doing a similar install myself. Just gathering parts at the moment. As far as the ipod cable, I plan on running it through my center console, pass the ash tray, and into the little cupholder/cubby. I plan on drilling two holes (one for the ipod cable and one for the usb) and making it flush with a couple of grommets. I'm putting in a kenwood DNX 6160 so my HU should be able to control it just fine. Plus, it is out of sight and not in your way.

On the subject of the ipod cable I have a question myself if you guys don't mind. I don't want to drill two GIANT holes, so I was wondering if it is safe to cut the ipod wire and then re-wire it? Anybody do this before? Any info would be AWESOME!
