Default Suggestions on cheap audio build.

hi guys. This is not my first time with audio in the Z. I use to have a little system consisting of the following

Pioneer AVIC d3
JL 500/1
JL 300/4
Rainbow comps
JL 10 w7

althought it sounded ok, i think i wasted the components since it was still installed in the door.

I've been searching on recomendations on other car audio forums but i think it's best to just ask these questions on here because i feel it's hard to get a good sound in the 350z. I told myself that i don't want a system anymore but here i am back at stock.

So basically my only audio mod is just the pioneer avid D3 headunit.

I just want a very good sounding component and cheap amp so i can have decent sound without adding weight to the car. Thanks in advance.

nazirs door pods or custom kick panels are the only option outside of using the door.

I have CDT hd-62 comps mounted in the doors and they sound really good. It took a while to fix all of the wierd rattles that come alive when mounting in the door though.

Might look at some slim-line options if you really are worried about the weight.

do you have an amp on your cdt comps? big difference in sound even in door?

when i meant weight, i meant a big *** subwoofer with a huge heavy box that weighed my car down.

Is there a budget on this.

I recommend.

HSK165 or HSK165XL in our oddr pods. you will be amazed how good they sound.

I also recommend a decent amp to power them with. Your choise of your old system amps are great. if you would like to go new you can check out the JL Audio HD line. or the XD line.

If you are looking to install the amp in th eglove box I have a couple AUDISON DEMO DEALS that will fit in there and run your whole car.
