Default Can the DVD Nav be converted to play DVD movies

I was just wondering if anyone knew a way to make the DVD NAV player play actual DVD movies?

Thanks in advance

Bigq66, I believe all these companies like nav-tv & avelectronics can use your existing factory screen but not the factory DVD-ROM drive (if that's what your asking).

As I stated before, the factory DVD/nav mechanism CANNOT be converted to show video DVD's.

The stock screen can play DVD with some mods, but you'll need a new DVD player to play...

Mike, can you tell me how much it cost, does it work, and most important....does the NAV still function totally normal? Also, is there any way of getting rid of that stupid feature of having to stop the car completely to enter a destination? I might as well ask for directions or use a prehistoric Thomas guide!

Please respond to my email directly....I only get in here every couple weeks....work sucks....

Bump...

I've been looking on the Nav-TV sight and they mention a new kit for the 350Z but don't show that kit on the site. Anyone have an info on this. I'm definitely looking to use my stock LCD screen to play DVDs and don't mind buying another DVD HU to go along with it.
