can someone explain to me the difference between the quality and power of bass between:
1. 2 10" JL W3v2 = 600watts

3.1 10" FlameQ (Audiobahn) = 900watts

Single Image Dynamics IDQv.2 or IDv.3 in a sealed box with about 350w will do the job. I say 10".

Check out www.sounddomain.com They have a special on the IDv.3; the 10 is only like 100 bucks.

If you really want JL, and don't want the bass to be THAT loud, I say a single w6v2, but that's gonna cost at LEAST double the price of the ID, and not sound better.

zpeedracer,

I have 2 kicker solobaric s10L5's and they make the front wippers bounce on the glass (that was my goal!!!)

That being said, one should do you just fine for what you want. The frequency range is good, and I was told that one solobaric 10" is about equal to one 12" round speaker. I bought both for $196 (98 each) from etronics.

Hope this helps.

BTW - How is the box coming along? Have you started building it?

I just got 2 JL Audio 10W6 v2 installed in a custom box this past weekend and I can not say enough good things about them. I am powering them with a MA Audio 1302 amp wired for 1 ohm mono putting out 350 watts for each sub. These subs produce a tight, clean sounding output that will send shivers down your spine. I will post some pics when I have a chance to take some to show the enclosure.
