Default Can you fit a 12 in the Bose location?

I only ask casue I'm a relative newb to the boards. I've done a lot of audio installs but I mainly was on the wiring side. When it comes to the actual enclosure I must say I'm lacking. I've seen a lot of dual 10 configs but I'm wondering if I could mount a 12 in each location. They are coming out my Spec V and I don't fell like selling them to go spend money on another set. They sound great and don't weigh much (In the Spec V this was a concern). Plus the JL 250/1 powers both. Well any ideas?

I believe you can with some modification. Search around in this forum; I seem to recall someone installing a 12 in the stock area.

Well I saw the one pic of a 12" install. Looks like it was just a box INSIDE the area. I'm wondering how hard that would be.

Probably a bit difficult and, I'd assume, very limited as to what speaker can be stuffed in there.

Do U really wanna put a bigger sub there? The size isn't my concern but it's the location. I don't like it when the sub is pounding at my back. I prefer the ambient bass sound like the g35.

Yeah but I really dont want to take up any of the hatch with it. I've been thinking of an enclosure in front of the strut tower bar but I don't think I'm gonna be able to fit 2 12s

I was oging to put my sub back there (10" Boston) but decided I'd rather put the amps there and use a sub box in the back, where it sounds better and barely uses any room (where the styrofoam piece is)
