I was wondering what people think is a reasonable (without getting into huge dollars) RMS output rating for a 5 way system. I recently put an eclipse 3532 in my ride. I believe the ratings are around 40x4 into 2 ohms plus 120W into the 4 ohm sub, RMS (the peak is 650W, but I don't put much store in peak). It sounds ok (still with stock speakers, except the 2 JL audio w8 subs), but I am not sure if I shouldn't beef up the amp when I replace the stock F/R speakers.
