Default Need ideas/tips for finishing my setup

Ok so here's my situation. I've got some audio equipment left over from a SQ project I was working on. Keep in mind that my friend competed and gave me guidance on what was good what wasn't etc. So... nowadays I'm pretty much clueless.

Ok basically right now I have the following
1 12" Image Dynamics IDMax sub
Zapco c2k 9.0 amp
Zapco c2k 6.0 amp
Zapco c2k 2.5 amp

So I need a HU, speakers, wiring, and a sub box. I've been looking for a sub box that fits our car but the mounting depth on the idmax is a lot bigger then most of those boxes will fit.

I was looking at the Alpine CDE-123 for the head unit ($175)

Not really sure what component speakers are decent these days. I used to have DLS Iridiums but I traded them in with my Mazdaspeed Protege.

Anyway I'm kinda rambling at this point... I'd like to finish my setup for roughly $750 or less. Help

I don't know much about this, but I have a Pioneer avic z series HU. Love it! I actually have a Z1 series, but did the hack to upgrade it to the Z3.

those are really nice amps! are you planning on running active? do you plan to compete? it seems like you have dedicated a significant portion of your budget to the amps.

zenclosures makes makes a box for a 12, but i doubt its deep enough. you could always call them and see if they have a solution. you'll probably have to do something custom, which means more $.

if you liked your dls, you might also like hybrid audio technologies. their founder used to compete using dls. of course, dls still makes great speakers as well.

I had planned on competing and running an active setup.. but i blew 2 motors in my protege and ended up broke. So now I just wanna use some of the stuff I've had sitting in my closet for 7 years. So basically at this point I need component speakers and wiring for under $400. Are those "hybrid audio technologies" speakers pretty inexpensive?

no, unforunately. there are still a million options in your price range. you're best bet might be some raw drivers if you are up to it. since you will be active, i would very seriously consider these:
