Default Clarion Max675VD - Ipod to Headunit "Sleep" Problem.

Hey,

So in my old car, I had a alpine double din unit that was connected to my ipod touch and every time I started the car, It would automatically detect my ipod and start playing my songs from it (from where it left off).

In my 350z, I have Clarion Max675VD double din unit with a ipod cable. I'm using the same ipod touch I used in my old car. However, instead of automatically playing the music from my ipod when I start the car, It wont detect the ipod until I either press the home / wake button on the ipod or unplug it and plug it back in; it will then continue where it left off. However it's rather inconvenient to always have to plug in my ipod or remember to wake it every time I get in my car.

I want to have the same functionality as when it was in my old car (to be able to automatically play from my ipod when I turn on my vehicle). What can I do?

Yes it does. However it will not charge automatically upon start up unless I either "wake" my ipod or unplug and plug it back in.

Also noting:
If my car is turned off and turned back on within half an hour or so (estimating) It will automatically start playing from my ipod, any longer and it will experience the symptoms mentioned above... so this pretty much confuses me.

I've pretty much narrowed the problem to my itouch. I think it's going into a deep sleep mode in which case my HU will not detect it, once I wake it, or unplug/replug it will awake. I'm not sure how to work around this, if theres any info anyone can offer me, I'd appreciate it.

I googled around but didn't find anything, I will keep searching

I've been googling for the past week on and off too, No luck yet

I'm thinking it has to do with the sleep setting on the ipod, not our HU's. I'll keep searching. The only thing I don't understand is that, It worked on my Alpine headunit, nothings changed, same ipod, same settings.
